The Saville Park Suites project consists of the construction of 203 hotel rooms in addition to ground floor lobby, bar and restaurant areas and a complete underground basement carpark. Of the 203 rooms, 141 are suites which contain kitchenettes and laundry facilities such as washing machines, dryers and laundry tubs.
Sitzler were appointed Construction Managers for this project in November 1995 by Stockland Constructors Pty Ltd in Sydney.
Preliminary design work had been undertaken prior to the appointment of the Construction Manager and following appointment detailed design was commenced with the input of Sitzler.
The construction of the Saville Park Suites consists predominantly of precast external and internal walls and transfloor precast floor panels which require a topping slab.
This project which has a construction value of approximately $27.0M was completed within forty eight (48) weeks of actual construction work commencing. The precast external and internal wall system enabled a consistent high quality finish to be achieved which is both hard wearing and aesthetically attractive.
The method of construction on this building has attracted widespread interest from both locally based developers and interstate developers.
Since opening there has been general praise for the standard of finish achieved in the building from both staff and guests.
I am extremely satisfied with the performance of Sitzler on the project. I found the project personnel to be honest and straightforward, and always working to make the job a success.
