Four single storey buildings with a total of approximately 660m2. An administration and temporary accommodation facility for the Department Of Immigration & Citizenship, at Kilburn SA. Project includes associated carparking and access, external paved and landscaped areas.
The project was awarded through and open tender process with Sitzler being recommended as the preferred builder based on the merit of a detailed and comprehensive submission encompassing quality assurance, OH&S, environmental considerations, appreciation of the project task and client value for money.
External walls are a mixture of face brickwork and metal cladding with thermal and acoustic insulation with high impact internal linings. Externally new fencing to various areas provides physical security to the site. A comprehensive CCTV security and access control system provides a high level of internal and external electronic security.
The client made over 40 changes to scope and additional works to the project. The Project Team managed these well and worked with the Consultants to ensure the best outcome and value for money.
