Michael oversees Sitzler’s strategic engagement with Indigenous Business Enterprises, driving increases in Indigenous employment opportunities and engagement through the Indigenous business supply chain across all of Sitzer’s operations. He is a vital member of the Executive Team with more than 20+ years of experience in the Northern Territory construction industry. His expertise spans end-to-end project management, including contract management, resource allocation and client relations. One of Michael’s key skills is his engagement of Indigenous people and communities, founded in his extensive project delivery experience in remote regions of the Northern Territory.
Jason Miezio is a distinguished defence veteran with 20+ years of service as a civil engineer in the Royal Australian Army. Upon retiring, Jason transitioned to a prominent role in consultancy firms, where he spent nearly a decade as a Design Manager and Consultant’s Representative in New Zealand and Australia, overseeing several high-profile defence projects. As Sitzler’s Defence Sector Lead, Jason leverages his extensive military infrastructure expertise to enhance successful outcomes across our defence portfolio.
Kim leads WHS, environment and quality compliance throughout Sitzler the business divisions at Sitzler operations. Since joining the company in 2008, Kim has continually driven systems development, maintenance, rigorous internal audits, incident investigations and mentoring programs. Kim’s collaborative approach has been a cornerstone in not only meeting but exceeding industry standards and maintaining the business certification status.
Scott is based in our Darwin office and leads some of the businesses most critical projects, leveraging his 30+ years of industry experience. His extensive background includes significant projects with government and private sector clients, notably the Department of Defence. Scott is known for his ability to resolve design and buildability issues with innovative solutions, maintain tight schedules and ensure high-quality results. His collaborative and transparent management style, coupled with his strong programming skills, drives successful project outcomes and adaptability to evolving challenges.
Peter is located in the Adelaide office and is a seasoned professional with more than 40 years experience in the construction industry, specialising in procurement, management and delivery of major projects. With 21 years in senior roles across Australia and the Middle East, he has successfully managed high-value projects and led multi-disciplinary bid teams. Peter excels in communication with all levels of stakeholders, from government authorities to site teams. Currently he oversees all construction projects in the southern region.
Mick has more than two decades of experience in the construction industry leading teams in both Australia and New Zealand. His background in project delivery, holding senior project management positions on large scale infrastructure projects, provides strong subject matter expertise in developing sound commercial landscapes and robust risk management environments.
In his role as Risk and Commercial Lead, Mick spans the broad scope of Sitzler operations establishing and maintaining the most collaborative, efficient and economical risk and commercial frameworks enabling maximum value realisation for both Sitzler and its clients and stakeholders. Since joining Sitzler in 2023 Mick has dedicated himself to delivering value and driving growth, scalability and resilience as well as developing and fostering strong strategic pathways for ongoing success.
Rod brings more than 40 years of distinguished experience in civil infrastructure. His extensive career encompasses delivering high-profile projects both across Australia and internationally. Over the past 15+ years Rod has managed major infrastructure projects throughout Australia. Rod’s expertise spans a wide array of sectors, including road, port, rail, airport and sustainable energy projects. At Sitzler, Rod leverages his deep commercial and engineering knowledge to guide large-scale projects from initial bid phases through to completion.
Jamie is a highly skilled construction professional with more than 30 years of project leadership experience. He is a builder at heart who champions optimal project outcomes at all levels. Since joining Sitzler in 2001, he has demonstrated exceptional leadership, driving success through effective stakeholder engagement and strategic team building. His dynamic and personable approach fosters a collaborative environment that supports both project delivery and organisational growth. Jamie’s extensive background, tenure and commitment allow him to provide end-to-end leadership across all business functions.
Jo Norton joined Sitzler in September 2024 as the People and Performance Lead.
Jo holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and has almost two decades of senior executive experience in public and private sectors, including utilities, public health and retail, leading human resources, industrial relations, strategy & reform functions. Jo is passionate about facilitating positive and dynamic workplace culture, capability, and leadership development, and is well-versed in leading large-scale transformation initiatives.
Jo has lived in the Northern Territory for nearly 30 years. Outside of work, Joanne enjoys spending time with family and friends, including cooking, cycling, and camping.
Graham McManus brings 35+ years of expertise in financial management and strategic planning to his role. With a background in both corporate finance and construction industry dynamics, Graham expertly navigates the complex financial landscape to drive growth and stability for the company. His analytical skills and keen eye for detail have been instrumental in optimising budgets, managing risk and supporting Sitzler’s expansion.
Michael was appointed Director of Sitzler in 1991. He brings significant directorship experience to the company and has a strong focus on property management and development as well as environmental, commercial and retail management. Michael has led the strategy for the sustainable growth of Sitzler’s construction interests.
Steve was appointed Managing Director in 1988. Under Steve’s leadership Sitzler has transitioned from a respected local Northern Territory company, to a trusted national construction specialist. Steve has driven a program of cultural and technical change to create a high level of trust and respect in Sitzler’s approach to managing design, delivery and project completion.
