The Roper and Wilton Rivers Bridges project consisted of two new high-level bridge crossings over crocodile infested waterways as well as 7.5km of approach roads. More than 150,000m3 of material was sourced from 6 extraction sites with the project significantly reducing the average annual duration of road closures to Ngukurr from 180 days down to 12 days leading to significant improvements for services provisions and economic opportunities in the area.
