To support Haulmark’s existing client base and to provide market opportunities for general freight companies in North Queensland, Sitzler was engaged to design and construct a bespoke trailer manufacturing and servicing facility. Building on the collective learnings from the previous Haulmark projects in Darwin and Adelaide, Sitzler delivered a main structure including high-end office facilities and a 13-bay workshop zone featuring 35m spans to accommodate the larger trailer combinations present in and around the Townsville area. The 13 bays included dedicated zones for trailer servicing included two Hartex service pits, trailer fabrication zones and parts storage and an external, covered wash bay area. A separate structure houses a two bay double de-gas and hydro-testing facility, with extensive concrete hardstand and trailer parking facilities supporting the facility.
