The $672 million Strategic Indigenous Housing and Infrastructure Program (SIHIP) was led by Sitzler, Laing O’Rourke and McMahon Services and involved the construction of 517 new houses and six new sub-divisions with essential infrastructure such as roads, power, water and sewerage in six communities across the Northern Territory, as well as 350 rebuilds and 450 refurbishments. Extensive civil works were completed in Alice Springs, retrofitting town camps with new connections and realigned roads.
