Sitzler wins the Toyota Motor Corporation Australia National Civil/Infrastructure Award over $25 million at the 2024 Master Builders Australia National Excellence in Building and Construction Awards for the AIR7000 Phase 2B Package 4 (Aircraft Pavements) RAAF Darwin

We are thrilled to have been recognised at national awards held recently in Hobart! Our team was recognised for their outstanding delivery on the AIR7000 Phase 2B Aircraft Pavements at RAAF Base Darwin for the Department of Defence. The project covered an impressive 91,000m2 of pavement across 20 hectares, the work included 400mm thick concrete pavement on a stabilised crushed rock base and an intricate stormwater drainage network.
The project included the demolition and redevelopment of aircraft hardstands, installation of new aeronautical lighting, fuel hydrants, electrical upgrades, stormwater drainage, apron floodlighting and a new aircraft rinse facility.
This major upgrade supports the Boeing P-8A Poseidon surveillance aircraft, ensuring the RAAF Base Darwin meets the highest operational standards.

To have our work celebrated in this way is incredibly humbling. It reflects the dedication and skill of the entire team involved. Competing alongside the best in the industry from all over the country, it’s a real honour receive this recognition from our peers. This achievement speaks volumes about our commitment to construction excellence and the quality of work we deliver in the Northern Territory.
A massive congratulations to the entire team for this well-deserved recognition!
